During 2010 the Committee in partnership with Bournemouth University produced a National Competence Framework for Safeguarding Adults.
During 2011, work was undertaken to produce a National Competence Framework for Safeguarding Children and this was launched in September. A copy has been sent to every member. Electronic copies of these documents are not available - for a hard copy of the competencies (price £3) please contact the Learn to Care office or Bournemouth University - pqsw@bournemouth.ac.uk
It has been agreed with Bournemouth University that if Learn to Care can make a bulk order for the Safeguarding Competencies – adults and /or children – then they will be produced at a reduced cost enabling LtoC to make a small surplus which will go towards supporting Learn to Care activity.
