A Consultation on a New National Competence Framework for Safeguarding Adults

You are cordially invited to participate in the National Competence Framework for Safeguarding Adults closed consultation to be held at the Hotel Miramar in Bournemouth on the 22nd of July. Please find attached the consultation programme and the booking form.

 

In partnership with Learn to Care, the Centre for Post Qualifying Social Work has developed a draft national competence framework to support practice in Safeguarding Adults which you are invited to evaluate. It is envisaged that all staff who work with adults, at both a strategic or practice level, will be expected to demonstrate appropriate competence in Safeguarding Adults. It is therefore important that those engaged in this work whether as a practitioner, team manager or head of service, have input into this process to help achieve the best possible outcome. 

 

This consultation event is free and will start at 10am and finish at 2pm, refreshments and lunch will be provided.

Arriving by Car
Via the main Wessex Way roundabout, turn into St. Paul's Road (signposted East Cliff) and then right at the next roundabout into Holdenhurst Road. The third exit at the following roundabout will bring you to a final roundabout, the second exit (Grove Road) will lead you to the Hotel's main car park approximately 50 meters on the right.

 

Arriving by Coach or Train
The hotel is situated under half a mile from the main coach and rail terminals where taxi's are usually available, or we will be delighted to arrange to meet you on arrival in the Hotel Miramar courtesy vehicle (subject to availability).

 

Arriving by Air
Bournemouth International Airport, with both national and international links, is just 10 minutes drive away.
